Meet Danielle – Your Somatic Guide, Facilitator & Space Holder
Danielle is a certified JourneyDance®, Conscious Dance, and Kundalini Dance facilitator, as well as a trauma-informed, certified mindset coach.
Her work supports women in reconnecting with their bodies, releasing what no longer serves them, and stepping into their power through movement medicine and embodied healing practices.
Her path to this work is deeply personal.

What is Somatic Movement?
The word “somatic” comes from the Latin word soma, meaning body.
Somatic movement is a body-based healing modality that allows us to access and process emotions that have been stored in our muscles, fascia, and nervous system.
In somatic movement, we tune in with curiosity and compassion:
• What does my body need right now?
• What sensations are present?
• What emotions or patterns are ready to be moved or released?
By moving intentionally and intuitively, we bypass the overthinking mind and access deep healing that talk therapy alone cannot reach.

You don’t have to “get it right” — you just have to show up.

Yes, you can!
While your experience will be different, you’ll still enjoy yourself and go on an incredible journey working with parts of your body that are easier to move.

An eclectic mix is the best way to describe it — think music that makes you move and feel.
Plus, I ask you to share some of your favorite songs, which I weave into the playlist.

Anything you feel comfortable moving in.
Leggings, sweats, a flowy dress — there’s no dress code. This is about you feeling at ease and supported in your own skin.
Shoes aren’t needed (and ideally, you’ll dance barefoot or in socks).
But if you feel more comfortable with them on, please wear them. You can always kick them off when you’re ready.

It’s entirely up to you, but ideally, yes (given it’s just the 2 of us).
Typically, I “pin” myself, which means you’ll see me large on your screen (vs. in gallery mode).
I mostly dance with my eyes closed, and your Zoom square is small, making it hard for me to see you anyway.
All this to say, I will not be watching or observing you.
