Brave Women

Two hours. Once a month. Just for you.

A free monthly online gathering where you can close the door, turn up the music, move what you've been carrying — and then let your body deeply rest.

Saturday, October 3 • 7-9pm ET

Online • Free to Attend

No choreography. No steps to follow.

Camera on or off.

Come exactly as you are.

Can't join us live? Register anyway, and you'll receive access to the replay for two weeks.

When was the last time you gave yourself two hours just for you?

Not to get something done.

Not to take care of someone else.

Not to work on yourself or figure anything out.

Just two hours to move, breathe, feel, rest, and reconnect with yourself.

Because life can be a lot.

Sometimes there's something specific weighing on you. Sometimes you're stressed, overwhelmed, frustrated, or carrying more than you realized.

And sometimes nothing is particularly wrong — you're simply feeling the weight of being a human in the world right now.

Brave Women gives you somewhere to put some of it down.

Once a month, we gather online from our own spaces for an evening of embodied movement and deep guided rest.

You don't need to know how to dance.

You don't need to be flexible.

You don't need to turn your camera on.

And you definitely don't need to perform, look a certain way, or move like anyone else.

You get to move in the ways that feel good to you and your body.

Dance wildly.

Sway.

Shake.

Stretch.

Barely move at all.

There are no steps to follow and no way to get it wrong.

Then, when we're done moving, you'll get comfortable and be guided into Yoga Nidra — a deeply restful practice where there is nothing left for you to do.

You're in your own space. But you're not doing it alone.

Women are gathering from their homes, choosing themselves for these two hours, too.

There's something powerful about that.

Why Brave Women Is Online — On Purpose

There's a beautiful kind of freedom that happens when you get to do this from your own space.

There's no room to walk into.

No wondering where to stand.

No comparing yourself to the woman dancing beside you.

No worrying about whether you look awkward or whether you're "doing it right."

You're home.

Wear whatever you want.

Turn your camera on or leave it off.

Make the lights low.

Dance barefoot.

Take up the whole room.

Lie down when you need to.

Modify anything.

Skip anything.

Everything is an invitation.

You get the energy of moving in community with the freedom and privacy of being in your own space.

And that combination is part of what makes Brave Women so special.

What to Expect

Everything offered is an invitation.

You are always encouraged to listen to your body and choose what feels supportive for you.

  • Community Connection

    ❥ Arrive & Connect

    We'll begin by arriving together.

I'll introduce our theme for the evening and offer a simple opportunity to check in with yourself and connect with the others gathering alongside you.

    Sharing is always optional.

You can type something in the chat, say hello, or simply settle into your space and listen.

There's nothing you need to prepare and nothing you need to figure out before you arrive.

    Just come as you are.

  • JourneyDance

    ❥ Move Freely

    Then we dance.

JourneyDance is a freestyle, somatic movement practice with no choreography and no steps to follow.

I'll guide you through the experience, offering prompts and invitations along the way — but how you move is entirely yours.

This is your opportunity to move some of the heavy, hard, stuck, stressful, ick energy that can accumulate through everyday life — and reconnect with the parts of you that can get buried underneath it.

You don't have to think your way through it.

Sometimes, you just need to move.

  • Yoga Nidra

    ❥ Rest Deeply

    And then?

    You get to stop.

After we move, you'll make yourself comfortable — lying down, curled up under a blanket, or however your body wants to rest — and I'll guide you through Yoga Nidra.

    There's nothing to accomplish.

    Nothing to figure out.

    Nothing to perform.

    You simply listen and receive.

We end gently, so you can carry that softness with you rather than immediately having to switch back into doing mode.

September: Awakening the Wild Woman Within

Each month, Brave Women explores a different theme through movement and rest.

For September, we're exploring the Wild Woman within.

Not some version of who a Wild Woman is "supposed" to be.

Not mine.

Not anyone else's.

Yours.

The part of you that knows what she loves.

What feels good.

What makes her feel alive.

The part that existed before so many of us learned to quiet ourselves, contain ourselves, please, perform, or become who we thought we needed to be.

Through JourneyDance, we'll explore that part of ourselves through the body — and then soften into deep rest with Yoga Nidra.

You don't need to know what your wildness looks like beforehand.

Come discover it.
