Through music, movement, breath, and guided somatic exploration, you’re invited to notice what’s here — and respond through the body, in real time.

Each journey creates space to explore without pressure:
to follow what wants to move, pause when needed, and stay with yourself instead of pushing past.

This isn’t about how it looks.

It’s about learning to listen, trust, and relate to your body in a different way.

What is JourneyDance?

JourneyDance®, created by Toni Bergins, is a guided movement practice that blends somatic awareness with freeform dance.

Rather than focusing on how movement looks, JourneyDance® centers the internal experience — how it feels, what it brings up, and what it allows you to notice or express.

It can be energizing, emotional, grounding, freeing, playful, reflective, and deeply supportive.

At its core, JourneyDance® is a practice of reconnecting with your body.

Why Movement Matters

So many women have learned to override their bodies, suppress emotion, push through stress, and keep going no matter what.

Movement offers another way.

When approached with choice, safety, and awareness, somatic movement can help you notice patterns of tension, bracing, numbness, or activation — and begin relating to yourself differently.

This isn’t about forcing release or chasing catharsis.

It’s about creating space for awareness, expression, and reconnection in ways your system can actually work with.

Music, rhythm, movement, and breath can help us access parts of ourselves that words alone often cannot reach.

What to Expect

Each JourneyDance® class is a guided movement experience set to music.

We move through an intentional arc that includes grounding, breath, energetic activation, emotional exploration, free movement, reflection, and rest.

Themes change from class to class, but the heart of the practice remains the same: creating space for awareness, expression, and connection.

You do not need dance experience.
You do not need to know what you’re doing.
You do not need to have your camera on.

Everything is an invitation.

You are always welcome to modify, pause, rest, sit, or move in the ways that feel supportive for your body.

Meet Danielle — Your JourneyDance Facilitator

Danielle has been dancing for as long as she can remember.

Before she had language for it, her body already knew — movement was a way to feel, to process, and to connect with her joy.

After training in mindset coaching and other modalities, she found herself being pulled back to the same place: the body.

She quickly realized that not everything can be thought through or talked out.

That realization led her to JourneyDance®, and eventually to the work she facilitates today.

Danielle guides JourneyDance® in a way that is structured, trauma-informed, and deeply choice-based — creating space for women to move, feel, and connect without pressure or performance.

Her approach blends somatic awareness, an expansive and thoughtfully curated range of music, intuitive guidance, and real-life understanding of what it means to live in stress and survival mode — and slowly find your way back.

She doesn’t believe in forcing release or pushing for transformation.

She believes in creating the conditions where something real can shift — over time, through practice, and in a space that feels supportive without expectation or pressure.

Class Details

Themes and playlists change weekly.

Each class offers a unique experience while following a familiar, supportive structure.

  • A Lightweight Scarf, Blanket, or Towel (optional, for dancing)

    JourneyDance® is a guided, somatic movement experience focused on how it feels — supporting awareness, expression, and connection from the inside out.

    You don’t need any prior experience.

    You’ll be guided throughout, and you’re always welcome to go at your own pace.

    We close each class with an optional space for reflection and sharing, but there is never any pressure to participate.

    You’re always welcome to simply listen or leave when the class ends.

  • JourneyDance® is a guided movement journey — think of it like a moving meditation with purpose.

    As a facilitator, Danielle gently leads you through a transformational arc using music, visualization, somatic prompts, and intentional themes (like self-love, inner child healing, or empowerment).

    • Structured yet intuitive

    • Facilitator-led with a specific emotional/energetic intention

    • Includes practices like breathwork, sounding, shaking, and even shadow work

    • Trauma-informed and often used for deep inner healing and embodiment

    • You’re not just dancing — you’re journeying through your inner landscape

    Ecstatic Dance is more of a freeform, self-guided experience.

    There’s usually a live or DJ’d music set, and the dance floor is an open container for you to explore movement however you wish.

    No talking, no structure — just pure expression.

    • Completely unstructured and self-led

    • Often follows a wave (builds in tempo then softens)

    • No facilitation or verbal guidance

    • More of a communal dance experience and energetic release

    In Short:

    • JourneyDance® holds you as you move through your emotions.

    • Ecstatic Dance gives you the space to roam freely in your own rhythm.

    Both are sacred. Both are healing.

    It just depends on what your body, heart, and spirit are craving.

    Danielle offers 1:1 work through The Embodied Journey: Movement Medicine, a private, body-based experience designed to support deeper exploration and integration.

    She is also available for group gatherings, workshops, and experiential speaking engagements.
