A Winter Solstice Rest

The Longest Night

Candlelight + Yoga Nidra

Monday, December 21 • 7–8:15pm ET

Online • Free to Attend

What if you gave yourself permission to stop?

By December 21, many of us are already running on fumes. The holiday obligations, endless to-do lists, family dynamics, and sometimes the grief that comes with this season.

But the Winter Solstice reminds us that everything moves in cycles.

Light and dark. Activity and rest. Growth and stillness.

On the longest night of the year, as the darkness reaches its peak and the light begins its gradual return, we're invited to slow down and turn inward.

This Winter Solstice, I'm inviting you to choose rest.

No intentions to set. Nothing to release. Nothing to accomplish.

Just candlelight, guided Yoga Nidra, and an intentional pause to honor the season and yourself.

What to Expect

This isn't a workshop, a ceremony, or another thing to add to your to-do list.

It's an invitation to slow down, get comfortable, and rest.

We'll gather online for a simple Winter Solstice experience centered around 50 minutes of guided Yoga Nidra, a practice of deep relaxation.

And the best part? You get to create your own cozy sanctuary.

Light a candle. Dim the lights. Gather your favorite pillows and blankets. Put on your pajamas. Hell, climb right into bed if you want.

Your camera can stay off. There's nothing to watch, no movement required, and no experience necessary.

Just close your eyes, listen to my voice, and allow yourself to be guided into rest.

That's it. Nothing to accomplish. Nowhere to get to.

Why Join Us?

Because rest isn't always as easy as it sounds.

Many of us have spent years learning how to keep going, take care of everyone else, and push through exhaustion.

But learning how to stop? That's another story.

And the Winter Solstice offers a beautiful reminder that nature doesn't operate at full speed all year long. Neither should we.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Honor the Winter Solstice — Connect with the natural cycles of darkness, stillness, and the gradual return of light.

  • Give your nervous system a break — Experience guided Yoga Nidra, a practice that supports deep relaxation and helps your body settle.

  • Practice rest without guilt — Step away from the constant doing and allow yourself to simply be.

  • Create an intentional pause — Take time for yourself in the middle of a season that asks so much of us.

You don't have to earn your rest. You just have to make space for it.

Welcome

I’m Danielle — Your Host & Certified Yoga Nidra Guide

My relationship with Yoga Nidra began in 2017, during a particularly difficult season of life.

My wife and I were juggling entrepreneurship, everyday responsibilities, and the kind of stress that builds quietly until you can't ignore it anymore.

We went to Kripalu for a weekend retreat, and that's where we experienced Yoga Nidra for the first time.

And wow. It was unlike anything we'd experienced before.

For the first time in a long time, my mind quieted. My body softened. My whole system seemed to exhale.

Yoga Nidra became a practice we returned to again and again, especially when life felt heavy or overwhelming.

Years later, I felt called to learn how to share this practice with others.

In 2024, I completed my trauma-informed Yoga Nidra certification through Yoga Farm Ithaca, bringing together my background in hypnosis, somatic work, and nervous system awareness.

Today, I support women navigating stress, trauma, and overwhelm through practices that invite more ease, connection, and choice into their lives.

And one thing I've learned along the way?

Rest isn't something we have to earn. It's something we need.

I'm honored to guide you through this Winter Solstice experience and create space for you to slow down, turn inward, and simply be.
