What If You Don’t Need to Change Everything?

Why is it that when we think about changing our lives, we tend to think BIG?

Quit the job.

Change careers.

End the relationship.

Completely overhaul the way we eat.

Finally have the breakthrough.

We love the big, defining moments.

But the more I live — and learn from firsthand experience — the more I’m convinced that our lives are shaped even more by the little things we do every day.

The conversation we finally have.

The boundary we stop negotiating.

The ten minutes we give ourselves in the morning.

The thing we take OFF the calendar.

The way we speak to ourselves when nobody else is listening.

The choice we make today...

and again tomorrow...

and again the day after that.

None of it looks particularly life-changing in the moment.

Until one day, it is.

And that's what I love about the energy of this week's Virgo New Moon.

This Moon isn't asking us to reinvent ourselves.

It's asking us to refine.

To look at our everyday lives — our routines, our health, our work, our relationships, where our time and energy are going — and notice what could use a little tending.

Not because we're broken.

Not because we're doing life wrong.

And definitely not because we need another impossible standard to live up to.

But because small changes compound.

They add up over time.

They're not flashy or brag-worthy.

But they can be meaningful.

Impactful.

Life-changing.

Before we get to the New Moon, though, we enter the Dark Moon — that quiet space at the end of the lunar cycle, right before the beginning of the next.

I think of it as the exhale before the inhale.

A time to get quiet.

To create some space.

To stop trying to figure out what's next long enough to notice what's no longer supporting us.

Instead of immediately asking:

What do I want to manifest next?

The Dark Moon invites a different question:

What am I ready to stop carrying before I call in?

And then, from that space, the New Moon asks:

What do I want to begin?

This week's Virgo New Moon takes that even deeper.

Maybe the question isn't:

What do I need to completely change about my life?

Maybe it's:

What small refinement would bring the way I live each day into greater alignment with the life I want to create?

Sit with that one.

Maybe something immediately came to mind.

And maybe... you have absolutely no idea.

Both are welcome.

Meet whatever comes up with curiosity and compassion. There's nothing you have to force or figure out.

And if you're feeling the pull of the Moon, community, movement, or ritual for change and transformation, come gather with us this week — or catch the replay.

We'll explore what we're ready to call in and the small, intentional shifts that can support the life we're creating.

You don't need a giant breakthrough.

You don't need to have everything figured out.

You don't need to know what's next.

Maybe you don't need to change everything. Maybe you just need to change one thing.
