We’re Looking for What We Don’t Have
Quick note before you read: This one is especially for facilitators and practitioners — but if that’s not you and you know someone whose work you’d love to see inside Superfine Synergy, keep reading (or forward this link their way).
I have a vision for where Superfine Synergy is going.
Someday, I want you to be able to open our calendar and think:
What’s happening today?
Maybe there’s breathwork this morning.
A creative practice this afternoon.
Sound healing tonight.
Maybe there are multiple things happening that day — different facilitators, different modalities, different ways to connect, regulate, move, rest, explore, and heal.
And if there isn't a live class that works for you that day?
You open the Superfine Synergy portal and find a growing library of practices waiting for you there.
I want that kind of access to be available to every woman and nonbinary person who finds their way into the Superfine Synergy community.
We’re not there yet.
Our community isn’t big enough to support that kind of live schedule today.
But that’s what we’re building toward.
And I can't build it by simply offering more of what I know how to do.
Right now, our community already has access to practices including JourneyDance, Kundalini Dance, Laughter Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.
I’m looking for what we don’t have.
Different modalities. Different practices. Different perspectives.
Things I may not even know enough about yet to realize they belong here.
Because I don't believe there's one right modality or one right way to heal.
I want women and nonbinary people to have opportunities to experience different practices and discover what actually supports them.
And I want more people to be able to access those opportunities in the first place.
Right now, 62% of the Superfine Synergy community receives a full or assisted scholarship.
I want to serve more women.
I want to give away more scholarships.
I want geography, finances, and other barriers to have less power over whether someone gets access to supportive, trauma-informed resources.
And that's where this invitation comes in.
Superfine Synergy is looking for experienced facilitators and practitioners who might want to volunteer an offering to our community.
That could be a live class.
A workshop.
A 15-minute practice for our portal.
A 90-minute experience.
A recording someone can return to again and again.
Or something I haven't thought of.
Truly — I'm open to ideas.
What matters much more to me than the format or length is how you facilitate.
Trauma-informed and trauma-aware practice is foundational to what we're building.
I’m looking for facilitators who understand choice, consent, nervous-system awareness, inclusivity, accessibility, participant autonomy, and the responsibility that comes with holding space for people with different bodies, identities, histories, circumstances, and lived experiences.
And yes, I want to talk plainly about the word volunteer.
I believe facilitators should be paid for their work.
I also believe there can be room to choose to donate your time, expertise, and energy to a nonprofit mission you care about.
For me, both things can be true.
Superfine Synergy does not currently have the funding to compensate facilitators through this collaboration program. These opportunities are completely voluntary, and I want that to be transparent from the beginning.
I also don't want unpaid facilitator collaboration to be the end of the story.
As we grow our funding and organizational capacity, one of my goals is to create separate paid opportunities for facilitators. I can't promise when that will happen, but it is absolutely part of what I want to build.
For now, we're starting where we are.
One offering.
One new practice.
One facilitator who has something meaningful to share.
And then another.
If there's mutual alignment and we both want to continue, we can explore what an ongoing relationship might look like.
Terri, who currently shares Laughter Yoga with Superfine Synergy, said something about her experience that captures part of why I'm excited about this:
“The Superfine Synergy community is something very unique and special. I love that it reaches people exactly where they are and in rural communities.”
She also shared that facilitating with Superfine Synergy keeps her creative, gives her space to develop new material, and allows her to contribute a practice she believes in to a community she genuinely cares about.
And when I asked what she would tell another facilitator considering volunteering with us, one phrase really stood out:
“You will be on the ground floor of what Superfine Synergy is becoming.”
That’s exactly it.
We’re building this now — toward a Superfine Synergy where you can open the calendar and find live practices happening throughout the week, while also having a growing library of trauma-informed resources available whenever you need them.
And the facilitators who choose to contribute now have an opportunity to help shape what that becomes.
If you're reading this and thinking, I have something I would love to bring to this community, I want to hear about it.
Read the Superfine Synergy Volunteer Facilitator Collaboration Overview first.
It explains how collaboration works, what we're looking for, what we offer in exchange, and the principles guiding this program.
If it feels aligned, you'll find the Volunteer Facilitator Interest Form there.
And please don't assume your modality is too different.
Different is exactly what I'm looking for.
If you're not a facilitator but someone immediately came to mind while reading this, forward this email to them.
This isn't about Superfine Synergy having all the answers.
It's about building a place where more women have the opportunity to find what helps 💜
