What If You Took the Whole Day Off?
What would happen if you took an entire day off?
Not a “day off” where you finally clean out the closet.
Not a day to catch up on errands, answer emails from the couch, go to a doctor’s appointment, or take care of something for someone else.
A day that was actually for you.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately because I’ve been craving a self-care day of my own. More like a week, but that's another story ;)
And I’ve noticed how quickly the guilt creeps in.
Can I really take that time off? Should I?
There are things to do. People who need things. Work that could be done.
Maybe you know that feeling, too.
Because somehow, when someone else needs us, we figure it out.
We rearrange the schedule.
Move the meeting.
Take the time off.
Make it work.
But when we’re the ones who need a day?
Suddenly, it can feel impossible.
That’s one of the reasons I got so excited when I saw that Friday, July 24, is International Self-Care Day.
I thought — Yes. Let’s actually do something with this!
So I created The Superfine Reset, a free online Self-Care Day experience.
I’ll be with you for three hours of the day, spread across three different experiences:
9–10am ET — Morning Reset Ritual
12–1pm ET — JourneyDance®
3–4pm ET — Yoga Nidra
And the hours in between?
Those are yours.
Imagine starting the morning with us — breathing, tapping, journaling, and checking in with what you actually need.
Afterward, maybe you make yourself a cup of tea.
Go for a walk.
Sit in the sun.
Keep journaling.
Take a nap.
Then at noon, you come back and dance with us.
We move the energy.
Give some of what you’ve been carrying somewhere to go.
Reconnect with the joy of being in your body.
Afterward, maybe you make yourself a delicious lunch.
Or take yourself out to eat.
Read your book.
Go outside again.
Do absolutely nothing for a while.
Later in the afternoon, you come back one last time.
You lie down.
And we close the day with Yoga Nidra and deep rest.
That’s the invitation.
I’ll create three places for you to pause, reconnect, move, and rest.
You get to create the day around them.
And no — you don’t have to take the whole day.
Come for one session.
Come for two.
Leave work early and join us for Yoga Nidra.
You could even create a half-day experience for yourself.
But if your first thought is, I can’t take a day for myself…
I want to gently ask you:
What would need to shift so you could?
July 24 is still two weeks away.
It’s one day.
The world will keep spinning.
The emails will still be there.
The people in our lives are more capable than we sometimes give them credit for.
What if, for one Friday, you gave yourself the same consideration you so readily give everyone else?
